This will age well :P Ark is a amazing game to bad they want to milk their player base so hard and not optimise anyting.

there needs to be a class action against these guys now. either offering refunds to people who bought the "new" ark or at the very least making the spending and progress public so everyone can see just how much they fucked over their player base and mismanaged their funds.

I'm not 100% so I could be so very wrong, but here' my theory, or 'educated guess' if you will: As far as I can tell, it seems that the majority of dinos only spawn where you have been, and the longer you are in one spot... the more dinos there will be. If you fly around non-stop, you're less likely to see many dinos on your first trip through an area, and if you were to stop to build a base in any one area for an hour or whatever, after a while... were you to venture around the area (within 1000m**), you'll notice there are a lot more dinos wandering around within that ~1000m radius**, but fewer within the ~250m** radius of your base. **ballparking those distances, I have no idea how much it is exactly, so all I have is a guesstimation. This "could" easily explain why dino tracker (& similar) doesn't show specific dinos anywhere on the map... because if you haven't been to their spawning area - or for long enough, they're less likely to spawn. Why would they do this? To prevent unnecessary stress on your system resources. There's really no point in spawning dinos into the game... if you can't even see them, but if there were dinos spawning all the time, all over the place... your game/system would have to process that info, constantly! FWIW: If this is the case, I honestly don't know if it was like this at launch as I wasn't playing until December, late December. Part of me feels that it was NOT like this when I first started, but changed sometime around January...or was it February... errm... how about I just say the all-encompassing, "it change at some point"... lol. Of course as I said I could be completely wrong! I might just be "trying to apply logic in the absence of all logic".

I just emailed PingPerfect to ask how many ASA maps each of their Windows VPS Servers could handle and received the following response from PingPerfect Support: "We're not an ASA provider, so we don't have any information on the resource usage or performance of that game. We recommend to search online or ask on the games forums for how much resources the server is expected to use."

As a pvp main on official i can confirm the pyromane is indeed OP. If you have 2 or 3 against your enemy that’s 3x that flame attack that drains health. Shreds soakers and dps tames

server files have been avail for months NOTrado is trash we dropped them a few weeks into release

“WARNING!!!!” ⚠️ There is a massive issue that wildcard hasn’t fixed and I think they know about, but if your server world saves aren’t set to frequent, say every 3 minutes as I set mine too, if you transfer from one map to another and your game crashes and you haven’t been there for 15 minutes which is saved by default. Your character will be deleted. 1. Make sure you unlock at least one to two engrams on each map it’ll force save your character to the map. 2. if you transfer to a map, then go back and then transfer back and then transfer back and then transfer back again all within like two minutes time you will also lose your character because when you first arrive to the place you transfer to (say you started on the island and transfers to scorched) the game doesn’t save your character properly until unlocking an engram or world save happens. I recommend setting saves every three minutes and when you do transfer fast, makes you wait six minutes before going back-and-forth. I’ve had to force join my tribe with new characters 5 times since the last video Nooblets made on how to set this up 5 months ago (plus as I was watching the video a month ago the program was updated and had to figure it out mostly my self) 😂 these were my findings and solutions.

Been using a PingPerfect "Brick tier" VPS since Nooblets first introduced it a few months back and currently host 5 maps. Instead of using a server tool I'm using individual start.bat scripts for the servers and opening them with task scheduler upon server start with elevated privilege's. Doing it this way uses 1/10 the CPU and RAM as they are background processes vs opening them in the traditional method.

You should put a link to the server tool in your description. Ive been watching your vids for years. Thank you for all you do for the ark community.

Just to be clear, you could do all this in ASE for some time. My tribe used this method for over 6 months, but when we tried to switch maps we still needed to use Nitrado to keep our gear from Lost Island. Is this just now coming to ASA?

Our server has been running privately from November, it was originally setup on Nitrado to get everything working and then it was migrated to a private server. The owner now has a near full time job setting up private servers around the world as the community once again takes ownership of this IP.

Keep doing these Steve! I send people to them all the time, even told someone complaining about NOtraDOO in the Ark discord tonight and told them they need to look at this route... its more reliable and in the end, cheaper!
